- What ist the typical ball flight on bad shots (Slice, Hook, No curve, Pull, Push)?

- Approximately, how far do you hit a 7-iron carry?

- Are you satisfied with your distance you hit your ball?

- Is there a recurring mistake (e.g., socket, slice, fat shots)?

- What is your current handicap, and what do you aim to achieve?

- Analysis of other techniques such as chips, pitches, putts, etc., is also possible.

How to properly film a Golf Swing

Recommended Camera Setup:

  • Place your camera or phone on a tripod or a stable surface.
  • If the camera has an adjustable exposure time, please set it to at least 1/2000.
  • Ideally, use a camera with a frame rate of 120 fps (frames per second) (e.g. iPhone).
  • Ensure that the camera is level with the ground.
  • Position the camera at approximately the height of your navel and align it with your hands.
  • Place a reference guide on the ground to provide a reference to the target.
  • Make sure there is sufficient lighting.

Correctly Filmed "Down the Line":

Place the camera on a tripod directly in line with the hands and parallel to the ball-target line. Use a stick, club, or similar object on the ground to indicate your target. The stick should be in the middle of the screen and appear as a straight vertical line (see image).

Common Mistake 1:

As seen in this example, the alignment stick appears at an angle. This is not optimal for an analysis of your swing.

Common Mistake 2:

Don't worry if the body is not aligned parallel to the alignment stick on the ground. In this case, the camera is positioned in the direction of the body lines but not in line with the stick on the ground, which points towards the target.

Correctly Filmed "Face On":

Position the camera so that the stick is aligned parallel to the bottom edge of the frame. Please try to have the hands in the center of the screen.

Common Mistake - Recording "Face On"

Here is an example of a "face on" recording where the alignment stick is not parallel to the camera. Analyzing this is more challenging compared to the upper image, where the alignment is correct.
